Regional Day of Prayer 2022
'Come to us in our time of need'
Loving Father god, come to us in our time of need. We
have just remembered and celebrated the birth of our Lord and Saviour. We acknowledge your great love for all people. We bow before you and praise your holy name.
We cry to you on behalf of the whole world. Look upon us with your compassion
and forgiveness. Lord, forgive us.
Gracious God help us and heal us as the world struggles with Covid19. Father God, we look
to you for help and healing.
Sadly many people have died. We give thanks for their lives and pray for the bereaved.
Blessed
are those who mourn, for they will be comforted.
We lay before you those who are anxious for the future because of uncertainties
of employment, lack of money, homelessness and loneliness. Loving God, may they experience the comfort of your presence.
We give
thanks for our NHS in the United Kingdom and Medical Services around the world. They are struggling, but we rejoice in the vaccines
and treatments given. Please God, help, encourage and strengthen them.
We pray for our Government and World Leaders in
their decision making. Give them wisdom, we pray.
We pray for the Church as we are being challenged in many ways.
There have been times when we haven't been able to meet face to face. We are grateful for technology that has enabled us to
keep in contact with each other.
As Church, may we be bold in our witness for you. Revive your Church, O Lord, begin the
work in me.
Amen
